The Virginia Council of Chapters meets quarterly: January, April, July and October. In recent years, meetings have been held at the Virginia War Memorial until construction began in 2018 on the expansion project. In 2018, meetings were moved to the Department of Virginia American Legion in Richmond. In 2019, VCOC meetings continued at the American Legion. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic in 2020, second and third quarter meetings are being held virtually, utilizing the Zoom Platform. The fourth quarter meeting is planned as an in person meeting at Patriots Colony in Williamsburg, with the business meeting followed with awarding of the annual VCOC Legislator of the Year award 2019.
Every two years, VCOC holds an expanded biennial luncheon meeting with officers elected sworn-in at the end of the meeting.
Who attends? VCOC elected and appointed officers, Chapter Presidents and/or Chapter VCOC Reps, Guest Speakers and Chapter Legislative Representatives. Other interested chapter leaders are welcome to attend, including Chapter Auxiliary Liaisons, Chapter Public Affairs Officers and Chapter Membership Chairs.
